Failsafe Program Guide

The Failsafe Program is a setting you can use in your AutoRun Typhoon projects. The Failsafe Program usually points to a file or web site that is opened in order to let the user view your files. For example if you are opening a PDF file, you would include the installer file to Adobe Acrobat as the Failsafe Program. If the user cannot view PDF files, AutoRun Typhoon will launch the installer file, install Acrobat, and then open your PDF file.

The following guide will help you with file types that you may be using in your projects. Commonly used file types are listed below, but you can use AutoRun Typhoon to open any file type. If you can suggest any Parameters or Failsafe Programs, or would like to see a new file type listed email us.

Failsafe - Suggested programs to be used as your Failsafe Program
Parameters - Instructions sent to modify the viewer's behavior
